GEOMAR has a number of state-of-the-art laboratories to investigate volcanic and magmatic rocks as well as metallic ores. Additionally, our research units hosts instruments for the exploration of the sea floor. These labs and instruments formally belong to our research unit but are used by scientists of different disciplines.
