Cheery greetings from your library team!

Thanks to a HGF-Consortia we have now access to Scopus!

(Scopus is a bibliographic database containing abstracts and citations for academic journal articles. It covers nearly 21,000 titles from over 5,000 publishers, of which 20,000 are peer-reviewed journals in the scientific, technical, medical, and social sciences (including arts and humanities). It is owned by Elsevier and is available online by subscription. Searches in Scopus also incorporate searches of patent databases.[Wikipedia])

We are happy to present our new "GEOMAR-EZB (Electronic Journals Library)" to you!
[New Link: ]

The Electronic Journals Library (EZB) is a service that intends to facilitate the effective use of scholarly full-text journals. Full-text journals requiring a subscription are made available together with freely-accessible e-journals in a central database. At present the EZB contains 84,000 journal titles. More than 45,000 specialized journals and periodicals are freely accessible in full text. About 17,000 titles are licenced by the GEOMAR Library.

The access options for the GEOMAR Library to the full-text articles are indicated by means of various traffic light colors:

freely available

free for users of the GEOMAR Library

only in part accessable

not accessable

Please note: You can search for journal titles, but not for journal articles! If you want to search for articles please use the "Web of Science" or one of the other databases offered by the library!

For mobile use of the EZB you may download an app from the Google App Store. It presents the most prominent features in a smartphone-friendly design.
