How to apply


Please note:

Applicants for the course will have to apply via an online application portal.

Application period for winter term 2019/2020  will be May 1-31, 2019.

Only applications via online application portal (portal is active only during application period) will be accepted!



  • Documents expected to be uploaded will include:
    - Curriculum vitae (not more than 2 pages)
    - Letter of motivation for choosing this programme (not more than 1 page)
    - Please provide a table with SWS or ECTS points of courses you have had in
            a) Physics and b) applied or pure Mathematics.

    - Certified copies of the following:
    - School graduation certificate
    - Certificate of the university entrance qualification (if taken)
    - Certificates of academic diplomas (Bachelor etc.)
    - Official academic transcripts from all universities attended
       For transcripts in languages other than German or English, please upload an officially certified translation.
    - Proof of proficiency in English (unless you are a native English speaker):
    TOEFL (paper based score 550, computer based score 213, ibT score 80 at minimum), IELTS (Band 6 at minimum), University of Cambridge (Certificate in Advanced English at minimum), or similar proof of proficiency, e.g. DAAD Language Certificate Test C1
