Stralsund: EXPLORATION AND UTILISATION OF THE SEA

Only step by step and with a high technological effort we succeed in getting an inside into the mysteries of the sea. Only by interaction of all fields in marine research and combination with research results scientists can draw a picture of the habitat sea.

The exhibition "Exploration and Utilisation of the Seas" in the "Ozeaneum" Stralsund (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany) is dedicated to this topic. It has been developed in partnership with the German Marine Research Consortium (KDM), the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development (BMVBS). GEOMAR as member of KDM has been deeply involved in the preparations for the exhibition.
