Microorganism: Culture and single cell analysis (Z02)

Microorganism: Culture and single cell analysis (Z02)
General information
The project Z2 aims to establish a platform for the isolation and identification of microorganisms that are associated with animal or plant hosts. A focus will be placed on the "uncultivatable" microorganisms. The overall goal is to achieve highly standardized methods and protocols for microbial community analyses. Furthermore, fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS) will be offered to singularize individual prokaryotic or eukaryotic cells from complex consortia that are then amenable for single cell analysis as well as the cultivation of slow growing bacteria.
