Abstract:
What do we know about the past surface variability of the North Atlantic subpolar gyre.
A perspective based on surface data collected since the late 19th century, recent (50 years) reanalyses, current observations from Greenland to Scotland by VOS Nuka Arctica and altimetry, and recent data on sea water isotopic composition.
