Research interests

My research focuses on the tropical oceans and, in particular, on the oxygen minimum zones (OMZs) in the eastern tropical North Atlantic and South Pacific. I am interested in the ventilation of the OMZs by lateral alternating zonal jets and how oxygen variability and trends in the OZMs are related to the large-scale ocean circulation and climate modes.
