"I am a second year doctoral researcher at GEOMAR, working on the geological evolution of the Cape Verde archipelago and its seamounts. As part of the DokTeam and of the Helmholtz Juniors I would like to share and exchange ideas and experiences of people from different institutes and backgrounds. It's important to bring our voice in on different levels."

“Hey, I am Jacky and a third year doctoral researcher at Geomar within the Palaeo-Oceanography group, developing and assessing the applicability of a new proxy (Na/Ca) in planktic foraminifera to reconstruct past sea surface salinity changes. As a second year DokTeam member I would like to continue supporting doctoral researchers at Geomar, improving working conditions and connecting all Doc’s with our monthly regulars’ table - discussing, networking, brainstorming … .”

"I’m Yang Yu, a second year doctoral researcher from Paleoceanography group of GEOMAR. I’m conducting a research on barium isotopes of seawater and tropical corals. As a member of the DokTeam and an international scholarship holder, I would like to improve the situation for external stipend holders and address any problem or legal issue you are running in."

"Hello, I'm Caroline and after studying Biological Oceanography I stayed at GEOMAR and started my PhD within the research unit Marine Natural Products Chemistry. My main research interests are marine invertebrates, marine microbiology and metabolomics, which I combine in my thesis that I perform with an invasive ascidian species. As a member of the DokTeam, I would mainly like to help further improving working conditions and to connect all PhD students, which is why I became also member of the Helmholtz Juniors."

"Hei, I am Thea, I started my Phd in December 2016 in Marine Ecology testing the effects of microplastics on blue mussels. I am a scholarship student and therefore have a big interest in improving the situation for external stipend holders. If I am not in the climate chambers working I am handcrafting in winter and doing outdoor sports in summer!"
