Our Values: Sustainability

GEOMAR research contributes to sustainable solutions for societal challenges. Responding to its function as a role model, GEOMAR aligns its research activities and administration with principles of sustainability, for example with respect to use of resources or protection of climate and biodiversity. A strategy and an annual sustainability report are under development. Dedicated workings groups promote sustainability in selected sub-areas such as personnel, operation or research.
