Lecture series: 'Responsibility for the Ocean's Heritage': Contribution by Dr Toste Tanhua

Series of events at the University of Kiel from April to June 2026

From 13 April to 29 June 2026, Kiel University will host a lecture series under the motto “Responsibility for the Ocean’s Legacy”. Dedicated to the current challenges surrounding our relationship with the ocean, the series will bring together diverse perspectives from academia and professional practice.

Dr Toste Tanhua will conclude the series on 29 June with a lecture on the importance of scientific research in improving our understanding of the ocean. The title of his lecture is 'Understanding the Ocean: From Data to Solutions”.
