Title
CAMMera: Clearance Activities for Marine Munition through Efficient Remediation Approaches
General information
CAMMera focuses on advancing technology for the safe disposal of marine munitions in European seas, specifically addressing Phase IV (clearance and disposal) of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal process. The project has four technological goals: improving munition handling, enabling secure remote operations, developing industrial-scale disposal methods, and ensuring environmentally safe clearance. Additionally, CAMMera aims to coordinate with existing national and EU efforts, promote knowledge exchange, and explore funding and business models for large-scale remediation across Europe. The consortium includes UXO industry experts, GEOMAR, and partners from Eastern Europe and Ukraine.
