Research Focus

In my research, I am investigating the effects of light pollution on bladderwrack (Fucus vesiculosus), a key species in the benthic ecosystems of the Baltic Sea. By combining field measurements of artificial light sources near water, laboratory experiments, and field trials, I aim to determine the extent to which fucus vesiculosus may be affected by light pollution and how this affects its development and function.

Another central goal of my project is to provide a scientific basis for the development of effective measures to reduce light pollution.
