Development and construction of a mobile demonstrator for the thermal disposal of explosives from coastal dumped munitions
General information
The aim of the project is the planning and further development of a processing and disposal method for conventional ammunition and the explosives it contains, as well as the construction of the system as a demonstrator. The demonstrator is to be developed as a mobile system and tested with real explosives containing TNT. The intended system is to be equipped with all the technical facilities required to demonstrate successful processing (measurement and control technology and analytics) and be extensively automated for safe operation on sea-based platforms (ships, pontoons, and other forms). It is ensured that all relevant parameters are correctly recorded quantitatively and qualitatively throughout the entire disposal process in order to guarantee a safe and environmentally friendly operation at all times.
