Kieler Woche: Open Ship on the RV ALKOR

On Friday 26 June 2026, the FS ALKOR will once again open its gangway to visitors of all ages. Everyone is invited to take a closer look at the research vessel and gain an insight into marine research. From 10 am to 5 pm, scientists will share fascinating insights into life and work at sea:

• Guided tours to the Kiel Benthocosms: Start from ALKOR at 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00 h

• Bombs, Mines and Shells: Ammunition waste in the sea and its dangers
• Ocean Currents: Hands-On
