About
I am a Geoscientist specializing in marine sciences. My work centers on bathymetric data, which serves as a foundation for broader marine research. I am particularly enthusiastic about trans-disciplinary studies and collaborative projects.
My expertise lies in analyzing hydroacoustic data, with a strong emphasis on spatial data interpretation and habitat mapping. I’m especially interested in the automated morphological analysis of MBES data using a range of GIS software and machine learning techniques.
As part of the GEOMAR Data Science Unit I also create interactive presentations, so-called ‘storymaps’, about projects and data types with the respective experts at the institute to make science more accessible for everyone by transforming complex information into engaging and interactive presentations.
