Panarea: A natural lab
The Mediterranean Sea around the volcanic island of Panarea is a natural laboratory. Off the coast of Sicily researchers from the ECO2 project gain important insights that help them to better assess the risk of carbon dioxide storage in the seabed. In May 2014, the research vessel POSEIDON and a GEOMAR diving team worked together in the area.
