The German Marine Research Consortium KDM is made up of fifteen institutions and universities of Germany in the field of marine, polar and coastal research. KDM's major goals are the advancement of science and research, fostering the collaboration of its member institutions and intensifying the cooperation within German, European and international marine research as well as joint public relations addressing decision makers in Germany and the European Union.
