Requirements

Applicants are expected to have a MSc, a German "Diplom" or an equivalent degree by the time they will start at HOSST (November, 2015). It is not necessary to have completed your degree by the time you submit your application.

English is essential for participating in the training program. All classes and supervision will be in English. All applications need to be submitted in English. Your English proficiency will be tested in personal communication in the admission workshop.

We ask applicants to write a statement of research interests (you find further instructions in the application guidelines, that will be sent to you after your registration).

Every applicant needs two letters of recommendation (after the registration you will receive a PDF with information which you may send to your referees).

The educational programme is explicitly transatlantic. This will require you to spend extensive periods of time (at least 4 month) in both Germany and Canada.
