INFRASTRUCTURE

GEOMAR has a number of state-of-the-art laboratories to investigate volcanic and magmatic rocks as well as metallic ores. Additionally, our research units hosts instruments for the exploration of the sea floor and drones for the mapping and surveying of volcanoes. Laboratories and others instruments formally belong to our research unit but are also used by scientists of other research divisions.
