Workshops are scheduled to provide practical training for early level postdocs and MSc and PhD students as well as ideal networking opportunities: One workshop is scheduled in Kiel on water column observations and biogeochemical modelling (including data analysis), and one workshop is scheduled in Haifa on seafloor processes and technology applications (including data analysis).
We also plan two dedicated Summer Schools which will highlight specific central topics related to EMS FORE in a seminar/interactive applied manner and will be run by the PIs and ECS from within and outside the EMS FORE partnership. The Summer Schools will be held in Haifa and associated with the field campaigns, for reasons of time and cost efficiencies. A limited number of places for non-EMS FORE researchers will be provided at the workshops and Summer Schools.
