Forschung
Ich bin Wissenschaftler und möchte verstehen, wie die Biologie und Chemie der Ozeane durch Umweltveränderungen wie Verschmutzung und Klima beeinflusst werden. Ich verwende globale Erdsystem-Klimamodelle, um ihre Reaktion und die damit verbundenen Rückkopplungen auf das Klimasystem der Erde vorherzusagen. Meine Forschung konzentriert sich auf die Analyse und Interpretation von Elementar-Isotopenverhältnissen, um Einblicke in den biogeochemischen Kreislauf der Meere und die Ökosystemdynamik im modernen Ozean sowie während vergangener Klimawandelereignisse zu gewinnen, die in Ozeansedimenten aufgezeichnet wurden. Dies hilft uns, die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels auf die Meeresbiologie und -chemie besser zu verstehen und somit unsere Vorhersagen für den zukünftigen Ozean und das Klima zu verbessern.
