Dr. Wonsun Park
Das Kieler Klimamodell (Kiel Climate Model, KCM) wurde am GEOMAR beginnend in 2005 entwickelt. Bei KCM handelt es sich um ein gekoppeltes Klimamodell. Die aktuellste Version des KCM setzt sich auch dem Atmosphärenmodell ECHAM5.4 und dem Ozeanmodell NEMO (NEMO v3.4) zusammen. Seit mehr als 10 Jahre wurde und wird KCM innerhalb verschiedener Forschungsprojekte verwendet deren Ergebnisse zu mehr als 60 begutachteten Forschungsarbeiten führten. KCM wird nicht mehr weiterentwickelt, und wurde von der flexible Ozean-Klima Infrastruktur (engl. Flexible Ocean Climate Infrastructure, FOCI, geomar.de/fb1-me/foci) abgelöst.
