Instrument assembly hall

The heart of the TLZ is a central assembly hall, where two gantry cranes are available to move even heavy instruments for cruise preparation. Trucks and containers can be loaded and unloaded with forklifts on the container yard.

Devices not sensitive to temperature changes are stored in a large storage hall. Some instruments are available for cruises on request.

Workshops of the TLZ

Workshops for electronics, precision engineering with conventional and CNC-controlled lathe and milling machines, a locksmith's and joiner's workshop are arranged around the hall, where aside from wood, especially different kinds of plastic are processed. Here, samplers, sensors and carrier systems for scientific applications are build, which have been designed as a prototyp with CAD support at the monitor in our construction office. In these workshops the education and training of new recruits take place as well. With these capacities the TLZ offers apprenticeships for the profession of precision mechanics.

Furthermore, prototypes can be pressure-tested in pressure vessels and in a water basin tests for buoyancy, acoustics and optics can be conducted in the TLZ.
